Making Room for MH & multiple SD/HD Streams is now a Reachable Reality!

Presented by: Perry Priestley, Vice President of Sales – Linear Industries Inc.

This session will present scalable and alternative approaches to delivering multiple program streams that were unaffordable to many LPTV operators just a few years ago, let alone generating an ASI or SMPTE-310 output from multiple audio, video and metadata sources.  The latest innovations in encoding technology use intelligent scene analysis, adaptive decision logic and non-linear quantization to achieve excellent quality video, even with multiple video programs and challenging bandwidth constraints. Operators are now able to easily create and manage multiple streams and alter their quality.  By applying sophisticated multi-layer control algorithms via a statistical multiplexer, inexpensive encoders may now optimize encoding bit rates of multiple MPEG-2 data streams, ensuring high utilization of available bandwidth to provide great looking images on their highest priority channels.
