The Production Switcher Redefined—the evolution of the M/E bank for tomorrow’s workflow

Technology now allows a mainframe of live production switching resources to be allocated as needed for the project at hand, so that M/E’s can be easily designed by the operator. This fits into modern workflows where various video formats—SD, 720P, 1080I,1080P—may be used as inputs and outputs, and where deliverables may include web streaming, archiving, or Blue-Ray DVD production alongside HD, SD or simulcast broadcast distribution.
